Practicing Patience In Everything

Practicing patience is an amazing trait you can have on your success journey. It can be developed by simply practicing it in your life. If you are at the grocery store and you can’t find the item. Take yourself out from that moment and take a few deep breaths, slow down and tell yourself I am a practicing patience.

If you are at the restaurant and the waiter takes too long to get your food order. Think thoughts  of patience. I have found that if I can compare my situation to someone who has it much worse – my mindset begins to shift.

Anything that is to happen to you that is awesome will take you practicing patience. Your success is right around the the corner but you need to be patient now. I love what M.J Demarco says “Success eludes most people because they are preoccupied with events while disregarding process. Without process, there is no event.”

He goes on to explain how everyone is enamored by the athlete that just had a big payday. However, we fail to recognize all the setbacks which the athlete went through to get to the payday. We love to read how the young tech entrepreneur amassed millions for selling his internet company. But nothing is written about the long hours grinding. The years of waking up early and going to bed late. The times when nothing seemed to work and there was no money in the bank. The times when the only money available was the high interest credit card.

Your business may not be seeing much profit. Forget about the big payday. Focus on the process.Practice patience.  Your life may not be going the way you planned it. However, if you are focused on  process the results will show in due time.
